Well, this is it. This is the new jefflarkin.com. On June 21, 2010 I announced that I was cutting with the past and deleting all of the content of jefflarkin.com. I never quite knew what to do with the site, so all I did was neglect it. Originally, I used this domain to point to my resumes as a programmer and as a performer. I briefly used it to point to several years worth of wordpress posts, then refreshed it as a place I could write about technology and other things of interest to me. It’s now been more than a year since I last published to this blog. I keep finding things that I want to write about, but when I start, I either feel bogged down by what I’ve written before or overwhelmed by the backlog of drafts, which now outnumber actual posts. I just end up not writing anything at all, which is really a shame. It’s time to start fresh and you’re now looking at the fresh start. If you’re looking for any of the old content from my previous blogs, you can find some of it at archive.org, but you’ll find none of it here or on any of my other domains.
So, what can you expect from the new jefflarkin.com? I don’t know really. Maybe you’ll find stuff about my many projects, or music, movie, and book reviews. Perhaps you’ll find pictures of the baby, once he arrives, or a reverse-chronological list of what I had for lunch. You might even find dead air, and that’s ok with me.
For the time being, I’m hosting this new site on tumblr.com, so please feel free to participate on tumblr. I cannot guarantee that I won’t move it elsewhere, but it will remain on tumblr for the foreseeable future.
